Quick Police Action Leads to Arrest in D.C. Armed Robbery

Washington, D.C. — An arrest has been made in the armed robbery of an establishment in the Fourth District.

On Wednesday, at approximately 7:23 p.m., a suspect entered an establishment in the 5700 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest. The suspect brandished a firearm and demanded money from an employee, who complied. The suspect then fled the scene.

Through the quick response of police personnel, the suspect was located nearby, stopped, and identified.

Jimmy Ridgell, 23, of Northwest, D.C., was arrested and charged with Armed Robbery.
