Rahway man airlifted in critical condition after Berkeley Township motorcycle crash

Berkeley Township, NJ – A 38-year-old Rahway man was airlifted to Jersey Shore Medical Center on Sunday afternoon after crashing his motorcycle in the Bayville section of Berkeley Township.

The single-vehicle accident happened around 2:07 p.m. near the intersection of Butler Boulevard and Bayview Avenue, according to police. Officers arriving at the scene found the man had been ejected from his 2020 Harley Davidson while attempting a left turn onto Bayview Avenue.

Patrolman R. Zilavetz, who conducted the initial investigation, determined that the rider lost control during the turn, causing the crash.

The motorcyclist suffered moderate injuries and was transported by MEDAVAC helicopter to Jersey Shore Medical Center as a precaution, police said.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
