MOUNT HOLLY, N.J. — The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for parts of New Jersey, Delaware, and southeastern Pennsylvania, warning of dangerously high temperatures and humidity expected on Tuesday.
The advisory, in effect from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, includes New Castle County in Delaware, Camden, Gloucester, Burlington, and Ocean Counties in New Jersey, and Delaware and Philadelphia Counties in Pennsylvania.
Forecasters expect heat index values to reach up to 103 degrees, raising the risk of heat-related illnesses.
Ahead of Tuesday’s heat, the region faces unsettled weather Monday. Showers and isolated thunderstorms are possible throughout the day, particularly after 11 a.m., with some storms producing heavy rainfall. Highs are expected near 87°F with a 50% chance of precipitation.
Tonight will remain mostly cloudy with a low around 73°F and a 30% chance of scattered thunderstorms, mainly before 8 p.m.
On Tuesday, temperatures will climb sharply with highs near 94°F and heat index values topping 102°F. Showers and thunderstorms are likely in the afternoon and evening, with the chance of heavy rainfall. The probability of precipitation is 60%.

Tuesday night, storms are expected to continue into the early morning hours Wednesday, with a low near 72°F. Rainfall could total between a quarter and half an inch.
