Rare Humpback Whale Triple Lunge Caught on Video at the Jersey Shore

LONG BRANCH, NJ – When you’re out on a whale and dolphin watching cruise, you usually hope to go home after seeing at least one whale. Whale sightings have become more common at the Jersey Shore in recent years, but this week, the folks over at Jersey Shore Whale Watch, out of Belmar captured a triple humpback whale breach, an extremely rare feat.

As the tour director was talking about the whales, the three whales lunge out of the water while feeding. The sighting took place off the coast of Long Branch, here at the Jersey Shore.
