Reisterstown Woman Wins $205k on Fast Play Lottery Ticket

Pile of money.

REISTERSTOWN, MD – A devoted Maryland Lottery player from Reisterstown recently experienced a life-changing stroke of “dumb luck” when she won $205,147 in the Oct. 5 FAST PLAY drawing. Known by her pseudonym “Ima Snowbird,” the anonymous winner’s highest previous lottery win was a mere $1,000 from a Florida scratch-off.

“Ima Snowbird” recalls her win originating from a visit to Weis Markets #139 in Hampstead. After purchasing and winning small amounts with several $5 FAST PLAY YAHTZEE™ tickets, she was torn between buying a Powerball ticket, given its billion-dollar jackpot, or another game. Her fondness for slots led her to purchase a $10 FAST PLAY game called Casino Royale Slots.

To her surprise, upon scanning the ticket, she was prompted to visit the Lottery headquarters. It was only after sharing a snapshot of her ticket with her daughter did she realize she had hit the progressive jackpot, securing a whopping $205,000.

The retired couple, who spend their winters in Florida, plan to use their winnings to ease their downsizing plans from their Maryland residence. “Ima Snowbird” intends to gift a portion of her winnings to her daughters, pay off some bills, purchase a new car, and, of course, continue trying her luck with the Lottery.

For their part in her good fortune, Weis Markets #139 at 720 Hanover Pike in Hampstead will receive a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery for selling the jackpot-winning FAST PLAY ticket. The Casino Royale Slots game, boasting a starting progressive jackpot of $100,000, still has 27 progressive jackpot prizes left, alongside other set prizes ranging from $10 to $1,000.
