Repeat Offender Arrested for Attempted Murder in Baltimore Shooting

BALTIMORE, MD – Detectives have arrested 35-year-old Richie Briggs, a repeat violent offender, in connection with a Northeast District shooting that took place on Monday night.

The incident occurred around 11:42 p.m. when a 36-year-old male was shot while driving in the 6100 block of Belair Road. Officers later found the victim at an area hospital, where he had walked in suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim is now in stable condition.

On Wednesday, detectives apprehended Briggs and transported him to the Central Booking Intake Facility. He has been charged with attempted first-degree murder.
