Report: 3 Shot in Trenton Including Two Young Children

TRENTON, NJ –  Mayor Reed Gusciora of Trenton is reporting today that as many as four people have been shot in Trenton and some of the victims may include children.  Neither the mayor’s office or the Trenton Police Department has issued a public statement on the shootings as of yet.   News 12 New Jersey has also confirmed this report.  Trenton officials are working to determine the severity of the gunshot wounds to the victims.

**Update**

Victims include a 10-year-old girl and a 12 year old boy.   The incident happened on Wood Street shortly after 9 am this morning.   Police today said a gunman opened fire on a group of people gambling in an alley.  A 10-year-old girl playing in a nearby park was struck in the arm and knee in the crossfire, sending her 7-year-old sister running for cover.

A 12-year-old boy, according to the mayor was shot in the abdomen.  A third person, an adult male was also shot during the attack.
