Reportedly Erratic Driver Killed After Running Stop Sign in Hammonton

An Atlantic County man, identified as Erick Barahona-Pinedo, aged 32, tragically lost his life in a car accident after allegedly driving through a stop sign in Hammonton. According to town Police Chief Kevin Friel, the fatal crash occurred on what was a Friday evening at approximately 9:59 p.m.; the incident was initiated by reports of an erratic driver narrowly avoiding a collision by disregarding a stop sign at the crossroads of North Egg Harbor Road and East Orchard Street.

Responding officers found a 2007 Acura four-door sedan that had overturned in an embankment near the intersection of North Chew Road off North Egg Harbor.

The victim, Barahona-Pinedo, who was the sole occupant and driver of the vehicle, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
