Rescue Operation at Dover Residence Leads to 90 Cats Saved by Authorities

Dover, NY—On Thursday morning, Dutchess County Deputy Sheriffs responded to a report of animal cruelty and rescued 90 cats in poor health from a residence in the Town of Dover.

The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office and volunteer animal rescue workers from Hudson Valley Animal Rescue and Sanctuary (HVARS) took charge of the situation at the scene. The cats have been entrusted to HVARS for necessary medical attention amid an ongoing investigation.
