Ring Cam Busts Would-Be Burglar at Jackson Mills Home

JACKSON, N.J. — A would-be burglar was caught on a Ring camera attempting to break into a Jackson Mills Road home Saturday morning, prompting police to ask for the public’s help identifying the suspect.

The victim received a motion alert from her security system while she was away and saw a Black male, approximately in his early 30s with a trimmed beard, wearing a white shirt, navy Yankees cap, blue Nike shorts, and white sneakers. Police said he tried to open the front door while using his shirt to cover the handle, apparently to avoid leaving fingerprints.

Surveillance video also showed the suspect entering the backyard after opening a fence gate. Notably, he was wearing a jewel-encrusted ring on his right ring finger.

A white sedan was seen parked on the street in the footage, but its license plate was not visible.
