Road Rage Incident Leads to Arrest in Stafford County

STAFFORD COUNTY, VA—An 18-year-old male from Fredericksburg was apprehended following a road rage confrontation in South Stafford that occurred on Tuesday.

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office was called to Washington Square Plaza after a motorcyclist reported a road rage incident involving a silver Honda Accord. The driver of the Honda was accused of brandishing a revolver during the dispute.

Law enforcement officers located the suspect vehicle in the parking lot near Dollar Tree and found the suspect inside the store. Upon detaining the individual, deputies discovered a revolver in his vehicle with an obliterated serial number.

Deputy T.S. Myree arrested the suspect, securing warrants for brandishing a firearm and removing the firearm’s serial number. The suspect was subsequently released on an unsecured bond.

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office highlighted the excellent teamwork involved in resolving the incident and removing the weapon from the community.
