BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, NJ – Roadways are flooded along the waterfront in Berkeley Township on both sides of the Barnegat Bay and Mayor Carmen Amato is urging residents to avoid the area until the water subsides.

“Roadways along the Barnegat Bay, specifically Bayview Avenue in the Bayville section and Bayview Ave to Barnegat Ave in South Seaside Park, are experiencing higher than usual flooding making many of the roads not passable at this time. Please avoid using this route until the flooding has subsided,” Amato said in a joint statement with the Berkeley Township Police Department.
