Robbers Flee in SUV After Edgewater Gunpoint Theft

EDGEWATER, MD – A robbery occurred late yesterday afternoon at the 100 block of Mayo Road in Edgewater. The victim, confronted by two masked suspects, was threatened at gunpoint.

The assailants, both male and wearing dark clothing and face masks, approached the victim at around 5:00 p.m. One suspect pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded cash. Finding the victim had no cash on hand, the suspect searched the victim’s vehicle and removed the cash.

The two suspects, along with a third accomplice waiting in a black SUV, fled the scene. Despite a prompt search by officers, the suspects and their vehicle were not located.
