Robbery and Assault Reported on Washington Avenue

BRONX, N.Y. — On Sunday, July 7, 2024, at approximately 2:12 p.m., three unidentified individuals assaulted and robbed a 35-year-old man in front of 1171 Washington Avenue, police reported.

The attackers forcibly took the victim’s wallet, containing an unknown amount of cash, and his bicycle. The assailants punched and kicked the victim multiple times, causing swelling and pain to his head. The suspects then fled southbound on Washington Avenue. The victim sustained minor injuries in the incident.

Authorities described the first suspect as a light-complexioned male with braids and a slim build. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, black shorts, black socks, and gray and white sneakers. The second suspect was described as a medium-complexioned male, last seen wearing blue shorts with blue underwear underneath, black socks, and multicolored sneakers. The third suspect, also described as a medium-complexioned male with a slim build, was last seen wearing a black and white baseball cap, a white tank top, and black shorts.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact the police.
