Robbery at New Castle Gas Station Leads to Arrest

NEW CASTLE, DE – Delaware State Police arrested 27-year-old Jaquoya Smith of New Castle for a robbery that took place on Wednesday, at a gas station parking lot.

Responding to a report at the Super Gas on New Castle Avenue, troopers discovered that Smith assaulted and robbed a 40-year-old victim.

Smith, who fled initially, was apprehended upon her return to the gas station.

She faces charges of second-degree robbery and third-degree assault.

Smith was arraigned and is being held at Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on a $2,500 secured bond.
