Robbery Reported at Newport News 7-Eleven

Newport News, VA – On Wednesday at 6 a.m., Newport News Police Department received a report of a robbery at the 7-Eleven located on the 700 block of J. Clyde Morris Boulevard. According to the store employee, a male suspect entered the store, went behind the counter, and physically confronted the employee before stealing multiple packs of cigarettes and a lighter.

The individual then exited the establishment, and his direction of travel is currently unknown. The suspect is described as a Black male, standing between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing approximately 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap with a light or tan brim, a camouflage sweatshirt, black pants, and black New Balance shoes with white soles.
