Rochester police investigating shooting at Myrtle Hill Park

ROCHESTER, NY – A man in his 50s was injured in a shooting incident in the western part of Rochester on Monday morning. The Rochester Police Department found the injured man on Hague Street after receiving a report about a shooting at around 1:30 a.m.

Officers believe the shooting incident occurred around Myrtle Hill Park, approximately a mile away from where the victim was found.

He was rushed to Strong Hospital by ambulance to treat his upper-body gunshot wound and is expected to survive. At present, there are no suspects in custody.

The Rochester Police Department is seeking information and encourages anyone with relevant details to call 911.
