Rockville Lottery Player Wins $250K, Maryland Awards $29.7 Million in Prizes

Maryland – A Maryland Lottery player from Rockville won a $250,000 prize on a scratch-off ticket, while four other players each won $50,000 in Charlotte Hall, Edgewater, Joppa, and St. Leonard.

During the week ending August 11, the Maryland Lottery awarded over $29.7 million in prizes. This includes 22 tickets worth $10,000 or more that were sold or redeemed.

Winners of prizes over $25,000 are required to redeem their tickets at the Maryland Lottery Claims Center in Baltimore, which operates by appointment only. Prizes up to $5,000 can be claimed at any of the more than 400 Expanded Cashing Authority Program (XCAP) locations. All Maryland Lottery retailers can redeem tickets up to $600.
