Rockville police say morning car fire was intentionally set

ROCKVILLE, MD – The Montgomery County Fire Rescue had an early start to the weekend, responding to a car fire that was intentionally set on fire. That fire caused some damage to the nearby home.

The Rockville Police Department issued the following release:

RPD was dispatched around 6:30 a.m. this morning to the 1300 block of Gladstone Drive for a car on fire in the driveway. Montgomery County Fire Rescue responded and extinguished the fire. At this time it appears the car was purposely set on fire. Montgomery County Maryland – Fire & Rescue Service will be conducting the follow-up investigation. The residence had a small amount of damage due to the fire.
