Rockville Shooting Suspect Arrested and Charged

ROCKVILLE, MD – A 68-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred on April 10 on the 300 block of N. Washington St. Wesley Walker Jr., of Rockville, was apprehended by detectives on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m.

The Rockville City Police Department responded to the incident last Tuesday at 10:55 p.m., where they found a male victim with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The suspect had fled on foot and was described as an African American male with a dark beard, wearing a gray shirt and light-colored pants.

The victim was treated at the scene by Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel and released. Following the investigation, Walker was identified as the suspect. A search warrant at Walker’s residence led to the recovery of a Bersa Thunder .380 caliber handgun and ammunition. Walker, prohibited from possessing firearms, faces multiple charges including Attempted First Degree Murder and Illegal Possession of Ammunition.
