Saratoga Robbery, Assault Suspect Pleads Guilty

SARATOGA COUNTY, NY – In relation to a robbery incident on Caroline Street on May 15, Jose A. Colon admitted his guilt in Saratoga County Court.

The defendant confessed to assaulting a man late that night, leading to the victim’s severe injuries, which included a concussion and facial lacerations.

Saratoga Springs Police Department, through surveillance videos and physical evidence, identified and apprehended Colon on the same day of the crime.

The stolen property was also retrieved and returned to its rightful owner.

District Attorney Karen A. Heggen commended the cooperation between business owners on Caroline Street and the Saratoga Springs Police Department in handling such incidents.
