Saturday Shooting in Southeast D.C. Ends with Arrest

WASHINGTON, D.C. – In a swift response to a midday shooting in Southeast Washington, D.C., Metro Police Department detectives have apprehended a suspect.

The incident, which unfolded inside a residence on the 1800 block of Alabama Avenue, led to one individual sustaining injuries. Authorities reported that the altercation occurred around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday when the suspect displayed a firearm and proceeded to shoot the victim.

Emergency services promptly transported the injured party to a local hospital, where they received care for injuries deemed non-life-threatening. Police successfully detained the assailant and secured the weapon involved.

Raymond Robinson, a 42-year-old resident of Clinton, MD, faces charges of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Possession of an Unregistered Firearm.
