Scam Alert Issued for Fictitious “Pittsburgh Balloon Glow” Event

ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA — The Allegheny County Police Department has issued a scam alert concerning a non-existent event titled “Pittsburgh Balloon Glow,” purportedly scheduled at 3730 Buffalo Drive in South Park. Over the past weekend, several individuals reported to the South Park police station with pre-paid tickets for this supposed hot air balloon festival.

Investigations by the county police revealed that the event is part of a broader nationwide scam and has no affiliation with Allegheny County Parks. The police are urging anyone with information about the scam to contact the County Police Tip Line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS.
