AAA is reminding drivers to be especially vigilant for pedestrians before and after school hours.

Data reveals that nearly one in four child pedestrian fatalities occurred between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. over the last decade.

Among the recommendations from AAA are slowing down in school zones, coming to a complete stop at stop signs.

Also, it is advised to eliminate distractions while driving.

These practices can significantly reduce the risk of accidents involving children.
