Scooter Bandit Attacks, Robs 39-Year-Old in Greenwich Village

NEW YORK CITY, NY – On Thursday, at approximately 5:11 p.m., an incident occurred in front of 215 West 17th Street.

An unidentified male approached a 39-year-old female, forcibly removing a necklace valued at around $960 from her neck.

The victim fell during the altercation. The male left the scene on a blue moped, heading east on West 17 Street.

The victim sustained minor injuries but declined medical treatment. The individual is described as having a medium complexion and was seen wearing black pants, a black jacket, and a black ski mask.

The New York City Police Department is seeking public assistance to identify the culprit.
