Scratch-off delivers $20K prize to Delta lottery player

DELTA, OH — A lucky Ohio Lottery player in Delta struck a $20,000 prize playing the VIP Millions scratch-off game, officials announced Wednesday.

The winning ticket was purchased at Country Corral, located at 7910 State Route 109 in Delta. VIP Millions is a $50 scratch-off game that offers a top prize of $40,000 a year for 25 years.

After mandatory state and federal tax withholding of 28 percent, the winner will take home approximately $14,400 from the $20,000 prize.

VIP Millions continues to offer big payouts across Ohio

As of Tuesday, April 22, 21 top prizes remain in the VIP Millions game, along with a variety of other cash awards across different prize tiers.

The Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $33 billion toward supporting education in the state since 1974, funding programs and services across Ohio’s schools.

The retailer where the winning ticket was sold does not receive a bonus for this level of prize under current Ohio Lottery guidelines.
