CINCINNATI, Ohio — A Mother’s Day celebration turned unforgettable for one Cincinnati woman after she won the $500,000 top prize on the Ohio Lottery’s Monopoly Bonus Spectacular 50X scratch-off game.
The winner, who purchased the $10 ticket at Marathon located at 5567 Montgomery Road, chose the game’s top prize and will receive $360,000 after state and federal tax withholdings totaling 28 percent.
The Ohio Lottery reported that the winner plans to use her windfall to pay off bills, invest, establish a trust for her grandchildren, and take her grandson on a trip to Disney World.
Monopoly Bonus Spectacular 50X is a $10 scratch-off ticket with a top prize of $500,000. As of May 29, only one top prize remains in circulation.
Retailer awarded bonus for top prize ticket sale
The Marathon store that sold the winning ticket will receive a standard retailer bonus. The Ohio Lottery continues to offer a variety of scratch-off games with major cash prizes while contributing funds to public education.
