PITTSBURGH, PA – A Pennsylvania Lottery player struck it rich in Allegheny County, winning $1 million on a Jumbo Bucks Scratch-Off ticket sold at a Pittsburgh convenience store.
The winning ticket was purchased at Fueland, located at 1927 Brownsville Road. The retailer will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the jackpot-winning ticket, the Lottery announced Tuesday.
Jumbo Bucks is a $10 scratch-off game that offers top prizes of $1 million. The winning tickets are randomly distributed, and retailers learn of sales only once a prize is claimed.
Lottery officials remind players to sign the back of their tickets immediately and contact the Lottery to begin the claims process. All scratch-off prizes must be claimed within one year of the game’s official end-sale date.
All prizes over $5,000 are subject to applicable state and federal withholding.
