Seaford Man Faces Felony Charges for Drugs and Weapons Possession

SEAFORD, DELAWARE – Gerald Watkins, a 51-year-old resident of Seaford, Delaware, was arrested on charges related to drugs and weapons. The arrest took place on Friday morning in Seaford.

Delaware State Police responded to a welfare check at the Del-One Federal Credit Union located on Sussex Highway. Watkins was found impaired, asleep while standing at an ATM, holding cash and a bank card. Upon interaction, signs of impairment were evident, and an ASP baton was discovered concealed on Watkins. The arrest was made without incident. A search uncovered 48 bags of heroin, two pipes with methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a switchblade in Watkins’ possession. Watkins, a convicted felon, is prohibited from possessing deadly weapons. He was charged and taken to Troop 5 for processing.
