Search Underway for Suspect in D.C. Sexual Misconduct

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The D.C. Metro Police Department’s Sex Assault Unit is on the lookout for a suspect involved in a misdemeanor sexual abuse offense in Northwest. The incident occurred last Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the intersection of Connecticut Avenue and L Street in Northwest D.C.

A woman reported that a man brushed against her, initially appearing accidental. After following her into a store on the 1000 block of Connecticut Avenue, he touched her again, confirming his intentions were deliberate. The woman confronted him, and he fled the scene.

The suspect has been recorded on a nearby surveillance camera.
