Seaside Heights Shooting Update: Suspect in custody will not get a pretrial release

SEASIDE HEIGHTS, NJ – A man in custody awaiting trial for a shooting that occurred earlier this month in Seaside Heights will remain incarcerated and will not be eligible for pre-trial release.

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that on August 27, 2021 that Jose Serrano-Robles, 43, of Lebanon, Pennsylvania, shall remain detained in the Ocean County Jail pending trial on an attempted murder charge and several other gun charges.

Serrano-Robles has been identified as the gunman in a shooting incident that occurred in the early morning hours of August 16, 2021, in Seaside Heights.

Detectives from the Seaside Heights Police Department located Serrano-Robles at the Toms River Bus Station that same date, and he was taken into custody without incident. Serrano-Robles has been lodged in the Ocean County Jail since his apprehension.
