Senior Arrested in Near-Fatal Shooting

GLOUCESTER COUNTY, VA – A shooting incident in Hayes, Gloucester County, has led to the arrest of 65-year-old Glenn Michael Edwards.

The Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a shooting on the 2300 block of Perrin Creek Road just before 7 pm Tuesday.

The victim, an adult male, was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

Edwards faces charges including aggravated malicious wounding, attempted second-degree murder, use or display of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and discharge of a firearm within or at an occupied dwelling.

The nature of the relationship between Edwards and the victim, as well as the circumstances leading to the shooting, are currently under investigation.
