She Honked Outside Victim’s House Before Running Her Over With Her Car

UTICA, NY—A violent confrontation on Floyd St. early Sunday morning resulted in the arrest of a 28-year-old Utica resident, Nichole Slattery, who now faces multiple charges including attempted assault.

Utica Police were dispatched to the scene around 6:10 AM following a report that a woman had been struck by a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers were told by the victim that Slattery, an acquaintance, had honked her car horn repeatedly outside the victim’s residence, prompting her to come outside.

The situation escalated when the victim confronted Slattery, who then allegedly drove her vehicle directly at the victim. This action resulted in the victim being struck and rolling off the hood of the car. Slattery reportedly then reversed her vehicle in an attempt to hit the victim again, who managed to avoid a second strike.

Police located and detained Slattery a short distance from the incident without further incident. It was also discovered that she had four outstanding warrants. Following an investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division regarding the vehicular assault, Slattery was charged with attempted assault in the second degree and for her previous outstanding warrants.
