Shooter Claims Self-Defense in Philadelphia Attack

PHILADELPHIA, PA – A 35-year-old man was shot multiple times in the upper torso inside an apartment at the 3900 block of North 5th Street. The incident, which occurred in the 25th District, prompted a swift response from local authorities.

Police officers transported the victim to Temple Hospital, where he was listed in stable but critical condition. The scene of the shooting was secured by the Crime Intervention Unit-5. No arrests have been made so far, although a weapon was recovered at the scene.

The motive behind the shooting is currently believed to be self-defense. The Philadelphia Police Department’s Shooting Investigation Group is actively investigating the incident. Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
