Shooting in Albemarle County Leaves One Injured

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, VA — Early Friday morning, the Albemarle County Police Department was called to a shooting incident on the 800 block of Runnel Court. The incident, reported at approximately 5:19 AM, resulted in one adult victim sustaining a serious but non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Upon their arrival, officers promptly provided assistance and facilitated the victim’s transportation to a local hospital. Authorities have indicated that this was an isolated incident and reassured the public that there is no ongoing threat to community safety.
