Man shot on Hayward Avenue as Northwest Baltimore police investigate late-night gunfire

BALTIMORE, MD – A 26-year-old man was hospitalized in stable condition after being shot late Monday night in Northwest Baltimore, prompting an ongoing investigation by city detectives.

Just after 10:25 p.m. on September 22, officers responded to the 3300 block of Hayward Avenue following reports of a shooting. At the scene, they found the victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound to his body.

Medics transported the man to a nearby hospital for treatment. His condition has been listed as stable, and no further updates on his injuries have been released.

Detectives from the Northwest District are leading the investigation and are working to identify a suspect or motive. Police have not said whether the shooting was targeted or random, and no arrests have been announced.
