Shooting on South Fulton ends in car chase and arrests

BALTIMORE, MD — A 35-year-old man was shot and two suspects were arrested after a shooting in Southwest Baltimore led to a vehicle pursuit and foot chase on Tuesday evening.

Gunshots heard as officers patrol Southwest neighborhood

Officers stationed near the 200 block of South Fulton Street heard gunfire coming from nearby just before 6 p.m. Responding immediately, they saw a man chasing another who had been shot. The victim, a 35-year-old male, was located and taken to a local hospital where he was listed in stable condition.

Suspects flee scene but are quickly captured

Witnessing the unfolding situation, officers observed the suspect enter a vehicle and flee the area. They provided a description and license plate to additional responding units. A short time later, the vehicle was abandoned in the 800 block of Boyd Street, and both suspects attempted to escape on foot. They were apprehended without incident.

Officers recovered a firearm, and Southwest District Shooting detectives are continuing the investigation.
