Shooting on Western Hills Viaduct Leaves Man in Critical Condition

CINCINNATI, OH — A 26-year-old University of Cincinnati graduate student, was critically injured in a shooting on the Western Hills Viaduct early Thursday morning.

Cincinnati District 1 police were dispatched to the 2300 block of Central Parkway at 6:20 a.m. following a shot spotter alert.

Upon arrival, the officers found the victim with a gunshot wound to the head.

He was transported to University of Cincinnati Medical Center. As of Friday, police confirmed the victim remains in critical condition.

The identity of the victim has not been disclosed. Cincinnati Police continue to investigate the incident and ask anyone with information to come forward.
