HAMPTON, VA – A shooting incident took place on Interstate 664 southbound between Chestnut Avenue and Aberdeen Road early Wednesday morning, as reported by Virginia State Police.
The event unfolded around 12:22 a.m., with initial findings suggesting an altercation between two acquaintances.
The individuals both stopped on the highway and exited their vehicles. They began shooting at each other, according to police.
A 30-year-old man sustained injuries as he fled the area.
The investigation is ongoing, with Virginia State Police seeking witnesses, especially those who might have seen a black, four-door sedan during the early hours.
