Shoplifter assaulted worker, brandished knife at Annapolis Mall

ANNAPOLIS, MD – On Friday, at approximately 12:30 p.m., officers were called to Macy’s in Annapolis Mall following a report of shoplifting and assault.

The suspect, a black male in his mid to late 50s, entered the store and was recognized by loss prevention as being involved in previous shoplifting incidents.

Upon confrontation, the suspect became aggressive, grabbed two stacks of jeans, and left the store. Loss prevention pursued the suspect, who then brandished a fixed-blade knife and threatened them before fleeing in a silver Toyota Tundra.
