Shoplifter Facing Charges in Golf Club Theft

A Dick's Sporting Goods store is closed due to the outbreak of coronavirus in Washington

LANCASTER, PA – Aaron J. Sangil, a 29-year-old from Upper Marlboro, MD, turned himself in on Monday, regarding a retail theft incident.

Initially charged by the Manheim Township Police Department after an event at Dick’s Sporting Goods, Sangil waived his charges for court.

Sangil was implicated in a scheme where he allegedly stole golf clubs by concealing them in lawn chair bags.

Video evidence from October 10th and 11th showed a male matching Sangil’s description committing the theft. Although most items were recovered, one club remains missing.

The Manheim Township Police Department continues to handle the case and encourages anyone with information about the unrecovered item to come forward. The commitment of local law enforcement to tackling retail theft is highlighted by this incident.
