Shoplifting Incident Escalates to Assault with Tire Iron at Glen Burnie 7-Eleven

GLEN BURNIE, MD – An attempted shoplifting at a 7-Eleven store located in the 5600 block of Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie escalated to an assault with a tire iron today. At around 3:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of shoplifting at the convenience store.

The suspect, Anjarae Queen-Harris, 32, of Curtis Bay, Maryland, was confronted by the store clerk. In response, she produced a tire iron and threatened the employee before attempting to flee the scene.

Officers arrived promptly and located Queen-Harris in the vicinity of the store. She was arrested and has been charged with assault, shoplifting, and related charges.

The store clerk was not injured during the incident.
