Shots Fired at Party in Wythe County Leaves One Hospitalized

WYTHE COUNTY, VA – On Saturday, shortly after midnight, the Wythe County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of gunshots fired at a large gathering on the 2200 block of Castleton Road.

Deputies arrived to find a significant number of people at the scene and evidence of a shooting. Not long after the initial call, a person with a gunshot wound arrived at Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax, in critical condition.

The Sheriff’s deputies are interviewing attendees and processing evidence as part of an ongoing investigation into this incident.
