Shots Fired in New Cumberland Domestic Dispute, Suspect Arrested

NEW CUMBERLAND, PA – Today, Jeremy L. Hart, 39, was arrested after a domestic dispute in the 300 Block of Market Street escalated to a struggle over a firearm, resulting in its discharge.

New Cumberland Police, assisted by Lower Allen Police Department and West Shore Regional, responded to the scene and quickly apprehended Hart without incident.

The dispute began as a verbal argument between Hart and the victim, which then turned physical. In self-defense, the victim presented a firearm, leading to a struggle between the two parties.

The firearm discharged during the altercation, but no one was injured as a result.
