JACKSON TOWNSHIP, NJ – Six Flags Great Adventure’s Fright Fest is in full swing, and last weekend, the company invited reporters, bloggers, and coaster enthusiasts for a behind-the-scenes look at the entire event. Social media influencer Joseph Rullo attended on behalf of Shore News Network and reported back.
The event which gets better and bigger each year included a few new events, trails and haunts for all ages.
Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey is pulling out all the stops for its 30th season of Fright Fest, introducing all-new haunted houses inspired by iconic horror films like “The Conjuring” and “Saw X.” The annual Halloween event, presented by Snickers, promises to deliver thrills and chills with a variety of activities suitable for both the fearless and the faint-hearted.
“Six Flags Fright Fest is an important part of our passion to thrill guests and exceed their expectations,” said Six Flags Chief Marketing Officer Edithann Ramey. “What’s also great, is that it’s incredibly affordable to visit during Fright Fest because the event is included at most parks for season pass holders.”
Fright Fest’s New Attractions
Fright Fest will feature new haunted houses, including one inspired by “The Conjuring” film, where guests can venture into the haunted farmhouse of the Perron family.
Also new is “Saw X,” based on the upcoming release from Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures, where attendees will face the return of Jigsaw and his terrifying traps. These new attractions join a lineup of fan-favorite haunts like “Vault 666 Unlocked,” “Sewer of Souls,” and “Aftermath.”
When Dusk Falls, the Scares Rise
As the sun sets, the park transforms, offering a range of spine-chilling experiences. Other haunts in the lineup include “Twisted Fairytales 3D,” a nightmarish maze where happy childhood fairy tales go dark, and “Necropolis,” where the party in the Big Easy takes a grim turn. A nightly parade called “The Uprising Parade: Nightly Call of the Dead” will also terrify guests throughout the evening.
Family-Friendly Fun
For families and younger visitors, the daytime Boo Fest offers a more light-hearted Halloween experience. Activities range from a “BOO-Yeah! Parade” featuring Tractor Terry and friends, to “Spooky Mooky Mayhem,” a dance party hosted by the LOONEY TUNES crew in their Halloween costumes. Trick-or-treating stations, obstacle courses, and an exclusive Monster Foam Pit party are also among the offerings.
Adding to the immersive experience are themed food and drink options. Guests can visit the “Blood Bank Lounge” for adult beverages or sip on Sangria from a Blood Bag. Additional seasonal treats include “Boo-rita Bowls,” “Frankenstein’s Fries,” and “Bloody Candy Apples.”
