Silver Spring Police Identify Victim in Monday Morning Murder

SILVER SPRING, MD – A homicide in the unincorporated sector of Silver Spring has triggered an investigation by the Prince George’s County Police Department.

The victim, identified as 34-year-old Noel Rivera, was a resident of Silver Spring.

The incident came to the attention of the police on Monday, at about 8:20 am when they were alerted for a welfare check.

The officers found Rivera inside an apartment on the 8100 block of Tahona Drive, having suffered from traumatic injuries.

Rivera was declared deceased on location.
