Masked gunman steals motorcycle in late-night Fort Totten carjacking
Washington, DC — A gunman wearing a ski mask made off with a black Honda motorcycle late Thursday night during a carjacking in Northeast DC, sparking an active investigation by 4th District police units.
The carjacking occurred just before midnight in the 4800 block of Fort Totten Drive NE. According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the suspect — described as a Black male with a light complexion, dressed in all black, and wearing a ski mask — was armed with a handgun when he confronted the victim.
After taking the motorcycle by force, the suspect fled the scene. No injuries were reported.
The case has been classified as a Crime Alert in Police Service Areas 401 through 409. MPD is asking the public to remain alert and not attempt to confront the suspect.
