Smithville to host new jersey’s largest fourth of july parade thursday morning

SMITHVILLE, N.J. — An estimated 10,000 spectators are expected to gather Thursday morning in Historic Smithville for what organizers say is the largest Fourth of July parade in New Jersey. The annual Independence Day celebration will begin at 9 a.m. along the parade route at 615 East Moss Mill Road.

The event is free to attend and features marching bands, floats, local organizations, and community groups. All parade participants are required to pre-register in advance of the event.

In addition to the parade, visitors to Smithville will have access to more than 50 retail shoppes, seven restaurants, and attractions including a carousel, train ride, and paddle boats. On-site lodging is available at the Colonial Inn.
