Snake Caught at Stafford High School

Stafford, VA – On Thursday morning, a DeKay’s brownsnake was found in the hallway of Stafford High School. Initially thought to be a large snake, it turned out to be small and harmless.

Deputy V.R. Weadon responded to the high school following the report of the snake. The English teachers humorously noted that the snake did not have a hall pass.

Named Barack Cobrama, the brownsnake was initially headed towards the Chemistry labs. It made a swift turn to a Geometry class before being captured.

Deputy Weadon successfully captured and released the snake, bringing the brief excitement to an end.
