Son Charged for Murder of Mom’s Boyfriend

MIDDLEBOROUGH, Mass. — A Middleborough man has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 66-year-old man during a domestic dispute, authorities announced Sunday.

Middleborough Police responded to multiple 911 calls around 8:03 p.m. Saturday reporting a fight and a stabbing at a residence located at 19 Fairview Street. Officers and emergency medical personnel found Paul Pomerleau suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was transported to Morton Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:52 p.m.

Police identified 41-year-old Andrew Horsman as the suspect and took him into custody near the scene without incident, following witness interviews.

Officials confirmed that Pomerleau had been in a long-term relationship with Horsman’s mother.
